Firstbrokers sponsors Timo Eskeli in Speedgolf World Championships in Japan

The insurance broking company Firstbrokers Oy has proudly sponsored Timo Eskeli during his participation in Speedgolf World Championships 2024, which were organized in Japan on 13-15 November 2024.The World Championships are held every two years, and this year's event brought together 82 players from around the world. 44 players competed in the open series, and more than 30 pairs participated in the ISGA Team World Cup.

The competitions had their own series for women, men and seniors over 50. Timo Eskeli competed in the senior series and finished sixth. Timo Eskeli is especially known for his speed, which has been his strength in a sport where the result is determined by the sum of the time spent and the number of strokes. Speedgolf is a unique sport that combines a golf club and running shoes. So, it is golf played while running - a fast-paced form of fitness for all ages.

Timo Eskeli has been successful in speedgolf before, as he won the Senior World Championship in 2022 in Florida U.S., as the first Finn. Although Timo Eskeli missed out on a medal at the World Championship this year in July, his sixth place at the World Championship shows that he still belongs to the sharpest top of the sport.
